Some golf courses are best left in the hands of families. So it is with Skyland Golf Course, bordered by farms on three sides and a two-lane blacktop on the fourth.

The third generation of Rhodes Boys now sits on the tractor, formally schooled in course maintenance, and informally schooled in customer service. In some ways, its an average course. Although our Cleveland golf course only has a slope of 116, length of 6115, and par of 72, in more ways than one, its pretty special.

Our Cleveland golf course has been featured on Fox 8, and been the subject of golf stories in Crains Cleveland Business and the Cleveland Golfers Bible (Gray & Co. Publishers.) Details of our Cleveland Golf Course

The front side is open, holes are tree-lined, and water plays an important role on three holes. A towering American Elm, a survivor of the Dutch Elm epidemic, holds court on No. 3. Ignore the wind above the tree line at your peril. The back side is tight, hilly and more challenging, including No. 12 a par three with trees closing in on three sides and a deep, wide ravine separating you from the green.

Skyland is one of those rare courses with grass bunkers as well as sand bunkers. It features a big, comfortable clubhouse. Pro shop features Titleist and Footjoy, full bar, very good menu. Especially the hamburgers.
